2. When and in what form must you provide an SDS?
SDSs may be supplied in paper or electronic form, no later than the date of first delivery.
However, discernment recommends prior knowledge of the hazards and recommended risk measures to ensure that your customers receive your products properly. Providing the SDS prior to delivery of the substance is therefore the most appropriate approach.
Similarly, updates to SDSs, carried out in certain circumstances, must be reported and forwarded without delay (in accordance with the wording of Article 31.9 of the REACh Regulation) to recipients who have purchased the substance in the last twelve months prior to the update (see Article 31 of Regulation...
