1. Trigger supplier audit
The supplier audit can be carried out at different stages of the relationship:
to select a new supplier;
to help a supplier experiencing difficulties in meeting your customer requirements;
to delegate all or part of the controls to the supplier (supplier quality assurance);
to help suppliers develop new products or increase their production capacity.
An audit can therefore be triggered at different points in the supplier relationship, and will always be planned in agreement with the supplier concerned.
Ideally, the possibility of an audit should be included in the clauses of the contract binding the supplier to the company....
