6.1 Don't sacrifice quality for deadlines
It can happen in a certification project, as in other projects, that you realize that you have underestimated the time needed to complete the tasks, and that the deadlines initially set are approaching too quickly. The temptation may then be to accelerate the work, even if it means doing things a little too quickly, thinking that there will always be time to come back to it later, or to subcontract certain aspects of the project to a consultant...
Don't give in to these apparent conveniences, as they don't guarantee that the quality approach will be taken on board by the company's staff. What's more, since the company's certification process is voluntary, it's up to your management to loosen the Time constraint a little....
