4. Which certification body to choose?
The choice of certification body is an important one, as there are a large number of them - over 20 in France - and not all have the same reputation or the same quality of service. Your customers can help you choose the right organization, as certification bodies are recognized for their sector-specific specializations.
In all cases, you need to ensure that your company's certification is recognized by its customers. This recognition depends on the choice of certification body.
In France, the profession of certifier is open to all, and only COFRAC accreditation of the certification body provides a guarantee of quality. We therefore advise you to restrict your choice to certification bodies accredited by the COFRAC website.
