2. What are the key stages in the certification process?

Whatever you decide to do with external support, the essential steps are detailed below.

2.1 Carry out a diagnostic/assessment

A certification project begins with an inventory (or diagnosis) of existing provisions. This initial diagnosis enables us to identify the organization's strengths, as well as any missing or incomplete provisions with regard to the requirements of the standard.

This diagnosis must be carried out by a person or persons with a sufficient level of knowledge of the requirements of the referential in question - for example, ISO 9001 for quality certification - and, more generally, confirmed experience in organization, enabling them to identify existing good practices and detect desirable improvements.
