  • COFRAC: Comité français d'accréditation – "COFRAC, created in 1994 under the law of 1 er July 1901, was designated as the sole national accreditation body by the decree of December 19, 2008, thus recognizing accreditation as a public authority activity".

  • IAF: International Accreditation Forum, comprising virtually all national accreditation bodies (one per country).
