2. Update the domain to be audited

Analysis of the information gathered usually makes it possible to identify activities and processes whose control and/or efficiency may have declined over the past period. If this is the case, an audit of these activities can be added to the current or future year's schedule.

As a general rule, activities and processes that contribute directly to the purpose of the management system concerned - for example, those that enable the company's products and services to be supplied in the context of a quality management system - are audited more systematically than support or management activities.
