3. How do I get started?

To start with, it's best to dematerialize quality documentation, whether internal or external. This means managing the creation, revision, lifecycle, consultation and archiving of paperless documentation, all via an IT solution known as EDM (Electronic Document Management).

Why is it so simple?

  • This is because the laboratory already has existing documents in computer format (word processing, spreadsheets).

  • Because with complex life cycles, documents don't evolve quickly.

  • All laboratory staff are involved, without exception.

  • Because the requirement is to do as well as the paper.

The "as good as paper" rule must be applied systematically when dematerializing. You shouldn't ask IT...
