2. Establish rules between you and your customer in the context of a mutually beneficial relationship
When your customer wishes to come and audit you, and to ensure that the audit takes place under optimum conditions (availability of people for interviews, accessibility of workstations, respect for confidentiality...), it is advisable to clearly establish certain rules with him/her beforehand.
For this reason, the first stage of the audit consists of validating the audit's launch, i.e. the audit date(s), the audit schedule, the audit scope, the objective(s), taking into account any technical (machine maintenance, breakdowns, etc.) or organizational (night shifts, staggered working hours, etc.) requirements.
You can also put forward a confidentiality clause, with regard to activities on which you have a confidentiality undertaking with another client, or for the reason that this auditor client has activities likely to position him as a competitor....
