1. Classified Facility for Environmental Protection (ICPE)
The concept of ICPE emerged in environmental law with the “ loi n° 76-663 du 19 juillet 1976 ” (Decree on Classified Facilities for Environmental Protection). ICPEs succeeded the “dangerous, nuisance, or unsanitary establishments” that were governed by the Imperial Decree of October 15, 1810, and subsequently by the Law of December 19, 1917.
