10.1 Do not underestimate the activities and products at your facility
It may be tempting to underestimate your activities and/or products in order to stay below a classification threshold. However, this short-sighted approach can expose your business to significant legal and economic risks. In the event of an inspection by an environmental inspector (particularly following a complaint from a neighbor or a report by an employee), you will face administrative and criminal penalties, but you will also be required to apply to the authorities to regularize your situation. However, the authorities have the power to deny your request for regularization.
