2. Operator
The operator is the person responsible for the operation of an ICPE, from its establishment until its permanent shutdown or transfer. The operator must demonstrate that they consistently comply with applicable regulations and that their operations do not adversely affect the interests protected by Article L.511-1 of the Environmental Code, particularly with regard to the environment, public health, or safety.
The operator of a classified facility may be a natural person or a legal entity, whether public or private. A natural person is identified by their last name, first name, date of birth, and address. A legal entity is identified by its name or trade name, legal form, SIRET number, the address of its registered office, and the capacity of the person signing the application.
