3. Maps and plans
A number of maps and plans form an integral part of the content of an AED file. These are mainly :
a 1:25,000-scale map showing the location of the site;
a 1/200-scale plan of the site and its surroundings.
Very often, the impact study and hazard study include references to maps and plans to explain the information given. To make it easier for readers to find what they're looking for, it's a good idea to group these documents together in a specific appendix entitled, for example, "Maps and Plans", rather than inserting them in the middle of chapters.
The inclusion of maps and plans in the appendices should not have the effect of minimizing their importance or making them secondary.
