5. Mistakes to avoid

5.1 Don't multiply the number of appendices unnecessarily

There is no need to systematically include copies of all the documents consulted in compiling an environmental authorization application in the appendices.

The size of the appendices should be directly related to the subject matter. For example, the services of the Directions départementales des territoires (ex DDE) are able to transmit a wealth of information concerning traffic on major roads.

For a project where the amount of traffic generated is very limited, there is no need to systematically detail in the report, and therefore to include in the appendices, documents specifying the breakdown of traffic between heavy and light vehicles, day and night, by time slot and between...
