3. Create tree structure
ToolA tree is built using deductive reasoning to transcribe the causal links between events whose occurrence leads to the appearance of a feared event. These links are represented by logic gates. For hazard study trees, the gates used are mainly "AND" and "OR" gates. A symbol (Tool Fault tree symbolism ) can be used to create a fault tree.
