3. Our advice

3.1 Anticipate and react quickly to prevent the situation from deteriorating

You must be able to quickly identify any anomaly in the operation of your plant, thanks in particular to self-monitoring measures. You are then advised to take prompt action to limit the consequences for third parties and the environment, by taking the necessary measures to stop the damage, repair the consequences and prevent the incident from happening again.

The aim is to prevent this anomaly from generating a cascade of litigation, with :

  • a non-conformity report drawn up by the ICPE inspector;

  • the decision by the public prosecutor, following transmission of the official report by the departmental...
