2. How is ISO 9001 structured?
The PDCA logic structures most management system standards. When we decide to build a quality management system, with or without ISO 9001 certification, we use this logic at every stage of the process. For a project, this logic can be illustrated as follows:
P for plan , in the sense of foreseeing, organizing, planning ;
D for do , in the sense of doing, implementing ;
C for check , in the sense of verifying, controlling, evaluating what has been done in relation to expected results and set objectives;
A for act , in the sense of using the information and data obtained from checks and assessments to make any necessary improvement decisions.
