2. Get a grip on your restoration obligation

The operator must ensure that the site is in a condition that does not adversely affect the interests protected by the ICPE regulations, and that is compatible with the future use of the site.

The reclamation procedure comprises several phases:

• taking into account the interests protected by ICPE regulations;

• determining the future use of the site;

• the determination of restoration measures;

• implementation and follow-up of the restoration.
