 INTRODUCTION

If a gas cloud ignites within its flammable range, i.e. if the concentration of gas in the air is between the lower flammable limit (LFL) and the upper flammable limit (UFL), a phenomenon known as flash fire will be observed. This cloud fire will generate thermal and overpressure effects. Within the framework of hazard studies, the overpressure effects associated with the cloud fire phenomenon are generally estimated using the Multi-Energy method.
