1. Distinguish between the concepts of certification, accreditation and approval
These three concepts are often confused. Although they all aim to guarantee a result, they do not operate under the same conditions and do not have the same scope.
1.1 Certification
Certification is the recognition by a third-party organization that the activity of a person or company complies with the requirements specified in a reference system.
Using a certified service provider is generally a voluntary process, but in some cases you may be required to do so by law.
