The industrial layout set up for the project will distribute the batches of sub-assemblies making up the equipment to be supplied to the customer, either in-house or from various suppliers and subcontractors, once the plant under contract has been assembled on site.
Each subcontractor will have to draw up a detailed schedule of its services, including the deliverables and stopping points required for inspection, with or without the presence of the end customer.
The purpose of supplier inspections is first and foremost to ensure that the quality requirements of the product to be manufactured are met, but also that the supplier complies with the contractual schedule established at the time of the order.
