2. Role of each player in risk analysis

Let's take the initialization steps one by one, to highlight the role of the various players.

2.1 Defining the scope of the analysis and the reference scenario

To say that a project is likely to be a month late is meaningless if you don't know the end date and duration of the project. On a twelve-month project where planning is a key element, one month's delay represents a catastrophe. On a ten-year project, whatever the constraints, one month's delay (alone) represents a miracle.

The definition of this scenario cannot be determined by the project manager or risk manager individually.
