3.1 Upheavals linked to new technologies

When it comes to exchanging information, we've moved from written communication to the civilization of images: "the weight of words, the impact of photos". At the same time, the structure of our exchanges has evolved from the hierarchical pyramid to the star network, and now to the mesh network.

The Internet has made it possible to share information in any form at no cost. Everyone has access to every picture, every written or spoken idea, subject to access rights. But as human nature doesn't change so quickly, everyone is inundated with e-mails of dubious value, attachments that they are asked, if not to dig through, at least to open, with the consequent waste of time. With thoughtful, synthetic memos having disappeared...
