4.1 Written document with arguments

"Forgive me, Monseigneur, for having written at such length; I lacked the time to make it shorter" wrote Blaise Pascal. What project actor really takes the trouble to structure and map out his ideas, to put them through the critical sieve, to wait ten hours or so for them to mature before distributing a polished and repolished work? We prefer to send a short e-mail urbi et orbi to gather everyone's feelings. Unless we have to write a specialized document, which is by its very nature unambiguous and reserved for an audience of peers, we prefer to disseminate information simply and immediately.
