2. Set up conditions for effective communication

It's true that many virtual project teams initially encounter serious communication difficulties. However, some teams find ways to overcome the constraints of distance. In short, there are virtual teams that work well. How can we explain this?

Distance is good for teamwork, according to James R. De Piant, consultant and associate professor at the University of North Carolina.

De Piant observed that :

  • virtual teams need clear communication to function;

  • the lever of this mechanism is the distance between the teams.
