7. Mistakes to avoid

  • Be too quick to rejoice, in the event of rapid success with the first shade(s), and thus want to modify planning, ignoring all other considerations, such as actual requirements, residual stocks, ability to stock new products, etc.

  • On the contrary, abandoning the planned approach too quickly, on the pretext that the estimate of direct acceptance is not quite there. In most cases, simply postponing the introduction of the next tint for a few days will suffice to restore repair capacity. Another approach, should the need arise, is to redefine, on a temporary basis, what can be reworked without a new in-line run, and what requires a new in-line run.
