3.1 Know how to use ISO 21504

Like all standards, this one is the result of a pooling of generally accepted thinking and best practice. Its usefulness lies in highlighting fundamental points that should not be overlooked when deciding on and implementing a portfolio. But while it is a valuable source of information and facilitation, it does not dispense with work on the specific features of your organization and their consequences on the potential added value of one or more portfolios.
