1. What are the key elements of the planner's activity?

In a project, time is a "finite" and "consumable" resource. This means that it is estimated at the start of the project, and becomes a budget envelope for its successful completion. This budget is consumed as the project progresses. Controlling project deadlines depends on the ability to use the time available to bring the project to completion. That's why the role of the project planner is so important.

To model the sequence of tasks and thus establish an initial scenario for the project, the planner will most often use the task flowchart, the PERT network and the GANTT diagram.
