3. Ultrasonic (US) welding consumables
One of the great advantages of ultrasonic (US) welding is that it uses no consumables. All you need is a sonotrode and an anvil, and some parts to assemble.
Some applications demand impeccable aesthetic quality.
You can protect the part in contact with the sonotrode with a 100 to 200 µm-thick film of natural polypropylene or polyethylene.
The machine must then be equipped with an unwinder/rewinder to renew the film with each sealing stroke (see photo opposite).
