4. Tracing the product life cycle

A product's life cycle, or life phase, is a succession of stages between its conception and its end-of-life. A product's use phase is only part of its existence. The user, when buying the product, will not have the same needs as when using it, or when maintaining it.

You need to select the phases of the product's life cycle that are of interest to your study (cf. Competitive analysis sheet for the functional analysis of a product [FIC 0621] ).
