6. Understanding and managing conflicts in virtual teams

Conflict has a special place in virtual teams, as it is even more difficult to manage than in traditional teams. It's interesting to start by looking at the behaviors that unresolved conflicts will provoke in virtual teams.

6.1 Preventing demobilization and demotivation

It often takes the form of disinterest, withdrawal or even apathy. We usually lose motivation after unsuccessful efforts. It's a reversal of fortunes after strong motivation. Everything tends to be interpreted negatively. This is because, in virtual teams, it's easy to find yourself in a situation where you're putting in a lot of effort without it being rewarded.
