The 2000s saw the closure of a large number of corporate documentation centers, or at least a drastic reduction in the budgets allocated to them. As a corollary, information watch developed slightly, bringing information to those who needed it, but the main phenomenon observed was that employees turned to other sources of information, other resources, thus exposing information centers or information watch services to the thorny question, if not of their interest, of their profitability.
