3.1 Positives

The project was carried out on a win-win basis, involving R&D teams from ANSYS Inc. in both the USA and France. The developments undertaken as part of the project were initially financed by DCNS (Naval Group), leading to an initial industrial application for the naval sector. In order to realize these applications for its projects and programs, DCNS (Naval Group) was granted exclusive use of an ANSYS code version integrating these new functionalities. These were then made available in the ANSYS code for the benefit of all the editor's customers. ANSYS Inc. then assumed full responsibility for the upward compatibility of these new functionalities (i.e. their continuity in successive published versions of the ANSYS code) and took charge of improving these functionalities,...
