5. Different network structures for different data, and yet everything will be linked!

Gradually, different types of network are emerging to link connected objects to each other and to the Internet. In most cases, these networks use existing communication tools. The various sub-domains of healthcare need to be considered separately. The implementation of a seemingly single IoT, similar to today's Internet, is only a distant prospect. However, it is equally certain that these different domains cannot be strictly separated. Wellness applications will be integrated into the complex monitoring of the chronically ill – monitoring of heart failure patients will use data on the environment of the home or the city during a journey. Monitoring tools for the elderly must take into account polypathologies. The networks set up for different conditions will gradually be connected, but they will also be linked to other networks outside the health sector.
