5. Develop a prioritized action plan

You'll now need to prioritize your action plan. To do this, you'll need to :

  • estimate the market potential of your application ideas ;

  • estimate the time needed to use your technology in this new market.

But the potential markets you've imagined are probably unknown to your organization. There are several approaches to consider:

  • use in-house resources, but this may take time without the assurance of generating future interest;

  • use specialized companies who know their target markets, which has the advantage of moving fast; moreover, in some markets, very interesting publications exist and are in the public domain.
