2. Making or helping to make the decision to stop
Once you're convinced that stopping exploration is the right thing to do, you still have to make the decision, or have someone else make it for you. And the nuance is important. If the team itself proposes stopping exploration, this is generally the result of a process of reflection based on a shared assessment of the situation. Acceptance is already there, and even if there is certainly some disappointment, the obviousness of the decision is clear. If, on the other hand, the team is unable or unwilling to face up to reality, things can become more complicated. The first case is therefore preferable. This means that support for the intrapreneurial team must constantly ensure that progress indicators are shared and understood.
