6. Our advice

Put together a short-list of a few representative players in the idea management process (generation, selection, development, managers) and projects. Give them a presentation on the five types of funnel. Comment, if necessary, on some of the characteristics of these funnels observed in the companies included in our survey (see bibliography in the "Further reading" section). Gather initial testimonials and positions. Hold a debate to highlight any apparent contradictions and reach a consensus, such as "We're 70% funnel X and 30% funnel Y". Finally, check whether you fit the "psycho-profile" of the companies generally associated with this or these funnels in our study.
