 INTRODUCTION

Infringement can be proven by any means. Among these means, seizure for infringement is often presented as "the queen of proofs", as it enables the patentee to have the allegedly infringing products or processes described or seized.

The purpose of this fact sheet is to present the seizure for infringement procedure, its preparation and implementation, so as to enable the patentee to assess the appropriateness of resorting to it and, where appropriate, to make effective use of it.
