1. Definition: your company's technologies

The technological system is the support of skills that your company values in order to function, as well as the related equipment. When we say that your company has technology, we mean that your staff, individually and collectively, know how to operate machines. More precisely, there are two kinds of key technological skills:

• scientific and technical knowledge: a salting company knows how to cut, salt, cook... meat products;

• related skills that enable the development of an economic activity based on scientific and technical knowledge: a cured meats company can master food quality management methodologies, manage cash flow shortfalls due to supermarket sales, plan its production according to the seasons...
