You need to evaluate your technologies, taking into account changes in the industrial context. In addition, you need to identify interesting knowledge to be acquired by analyzing the data generated by your watch. You will focus your work in three areas.
Benchmarking: you'll be looking at your competitors, at companies similar to yours in other territories, and investigating other sectors. The aim is to find ideas for new skills to acquire. Among the aspects to be studied among these players are :
what investments are you seeing?
what R&D is carried out?
which activities have been successfully launched (and on the basis of which skills)?
