2. Questioning the "what?

The first thing to consider is the nature of the site. Is it a :

  • institutional?

  • associative?

  • commercial?

Determining the nature of the site then allows you to deduce the orientation of its content and its audience.

How do you determine the nature of a website? The first step is to decrypt the URL. Some domain names and/or extensions are protected: for example, "gouv.fr".

The next thing to consider is the site's reliability. An administrative site with the extension ".gouv.fr" may, in some cases, be more reliable than a personal site.

Finally, there is the question of the relevance of the resource: does the resource meet all my needs?
