An intrapreneurial adventure begins because it has generated within the organization the hope of conquering a market large enough to represent a certain interest. This is ambition.

As the adventure progresses, the initial ambition will evolve, and this evolution will have an impact on the market. Sometimes, the final market will be very different from the initial one. In the most positive scenario, market size will increase. But it could also turn out that market size decreases, so that the interest in continuing and the desirability of continuing to finance exploration may legitimately be called into question.
