4. What specific research and analysis technologies are used?

Multimedia monitoring is characterized by specific challenges and needs:

  • How can I tell if my image is being used in an unauthorized way?

  • How can I tell when someone is talking about my organization or my product, for example?

  • How do I access a written transcript?

  • How do I view and archive the video or audio passage?

To meet these needs, the textual analysis used in traditional media monitoring proves ineffective. The analysis of metadata, tags or hashtags associated with multimedia documents is too partial and insufficient.
