4. Filtering sources to obtain relevant data
Once the monitoring activity is underway, the first results are obtained by matching the content of the monitored pages with the filters that have been built from the semantic fields.
At this stage of the process, these initial results are not always relevant. It is then advisable to target the sources that generate noise, so as to be able to review the quality and finesse of the filters. This can be done by adding specific or more precise keywords, eliminating acronyms and, possibly, deleting "chatty" sources.
The more specialized the source, the fewer filters are needed, but the more generalist the source, such as the business press, the more precise the filters.
