3. How to source successfully?
Sourcing involves identifying and qualifying the sources to be mobilized for monitoring. It is important to identify the best sources that are potentially capable of providing answers to the questions posed by the watch.
Based on the existing situation, a mapping of sources by category can be drawn up and submitted to stakeholders for validation. The aim is to ensure reasonable coverage of the monitoring subject and issue, by determining the most important areas to be monitored and translating them into key sources.
For example, it is possible to make use of internal databases, favorites used by employees, and resource sites proposed by institutions, federations, unions and international organizations.
And to broaden this search, we search specialized resources such as directories or expert blogs.
