4. Our advice

4.1 Take regular stock of the situation

The situation report, to be recorded in a logbook, is a key moment in the operation of the crisis unit.

These milestones are formalized over time, rather like a patient's health report. They enable us to regain control of the media and to keep the clocks ticking. It is preferable that their frequency be known, so that managers can prepare for them.

The average frequency is one every hour, or even every two hours, depending on the kinetics of the event, but it can be adapted according to information needs.

During situation updates, managers are mobilized and focused on communication.
