1. Creating an identity for the structure
This – organization - let's call it an "incubator" for ease of understanding – - needs its own identity within the larger group. Synonymous with "exploration", the incubator needs to make this difference visible to the rest of the organization, while taking care not to create a totally disconnected structure. Individuals need to feel free to undertake their exploration, while being realistic about the fact that their home organization is funding them.
We prefer to locate this incubator in a physically remote location, if possible within a similar organization (incubator, gas pedal...), where an entrepreneurial culture exists (impromptu meetings with startupers, conferences...).
