4. Conclusion

Analytical control of illicit health products is a complex task, since the manufacturers who market such products put on the market formulations of varying composition, often far removed from that advertised in the product description. The chemist in charge of controls must therefore implement a variety of analytical methods to verify the conformity and non-dangerousness of the products sold. A single technique cannot solve all analytical problems, and it is useful to have a range of methods at one's disposal, knowing their respective advantages and limitations. As we have tried to show in this article, NMR has many advantages. It is a non-targeted method that enables us to analyze a sample, even a complex one, in its entirety. It also provides valuable structural information, and is quantitative in nature. It is therefore particularly well suited to the detection of illicit health products....
