4. Financial guarantees

Financial guarantees must be provided when the environmental permit application concerns waste storage facilities, quarries or classified installations to be set up on a new site and likely to create very significant risks for the health or safety of neighboring populations and the environment, due to the danger of explosion or the release of noxious products.

Details of these guarantees must be given in the application file, specifying their nature, amount and the time required to set them up.
