10. Mistakes to avoid

10.1 Don't neglect your responsibilities, even if you outsource your environmental permit application.

The environmental permit application file is the responsibility of the petitioner who intends to operate an ICPE. The future operator must therefore be fully involved in compiling the various parts of the file. However, given the diversity of the subjects to be dealt with (water, air, noise, transport, waste, risks, emergency resources, health and safety, etc.), it is strongly recommended that they enlist the help of an environmental specialist to put together a complete, structured dossier acceptable to the authorities.
